Train car introduction

7300 series

7300 series

The 7300 series is a railcar that was introduced for the Kyoto Line.

Since the operating conditions of the railcars have changed significantly because of the operation on the Kobe Rapid Transit Railway and the start of the mutual through service with the Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line, the railcars are being built with new dimensions, taking into consideration the future common specifications for the entire line of Hankyu Railway. The early 7300 series railcars were made of steel, but they have been built with aluminum bodies since 1982.
Starting in 2008, the railcar underwent remodeling similar to that of the 7000 series, and the latest equipment and devices used in newly built railcars at the time were installed.

Special notes

Hankyu railcar standard dimensions

When the Kobe Line 810 series and Kyoto Line 710 series were built in 1950, standard body dimensions were established in order to unify the size of the car body across all lines, and it was called the Hankyu standard body.
After that, through the 3300 series and 5300 series, which were built as vehicles that could be used for entering the Kobe Rapid Transit Railway and mutual direct operation with Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line, the concept of standard body dimensions was sorted out when the 7000 series and 7300 series were built, but in Kobe Line, Takarazuka Line and Kyoto Line, the vehicle and Platform Due to the need to respond to improvements in ground equipment such as Platform, the Kobe Line Takarazuka Line and Kyoto Line still use different body dimensions.
