Train car introduction
9300 series
The 9300 series, like the 9000 series, is a railcar built based on the concept of a comfortable travel space for all passengers with a special focus on providing a comfortable interior space, introducing excellent service equipment, and providing a barrier-free environment for those with mobility issues. It is operated on the Kyoto Line.
The swept-back angle on the front is greater than the existing railcars, and the top has a frame shape as an accent. The front end is a vestibule type with a central gangway door (gangway), just like the existing railcars.
The passenger cars inherit the traditional wood-grain walls and green seats to maintain a calm atmosphere, while the interior structure has been newly designed with higher ceilings, larger side windows and side sliding doors that let in more light and improve visibility, and seats with expanded leg room.
Special notes
Side window
Large glass measuring 1,385 mm in length and 1,040 mm in height is used to create single large ribbon windows between the side entrances. In addition, the windows have been enlarged by 140 mm in both the upper and lower directions compared to the existing railcars to let in more light and improve visibility.

seat
A cloth sheet is placed between the side entrances, and some of them are convertible cloth seats equipped with a pneumatic diversion mechanism. Long seats are placed at the rear of the driver's cab and at the end of the car in the lead vehicle, cross seats are placed near the Osaka at the end of the intermediate vehicle, and long seats are located near the Kyoto.
The cloth seat is a bucket-type seat that uses molded urethane for the seat filling, and the seating comfort has been improved. In addition, the seat fabric is made of moquette with a pattern.
The heater under the seat is suspended, making the space under the seat an open space. It provides a seating space with plenty of legroom and changes the atmosphere of the car.
