Train car introduction

9000 series

9000 series

The 9000 series was built based on the concept of a comfortable travel space for all passengers with a special focus on providing a comfortable interior space, introducing excellent service equipment, and providing a barrier-free environment for mobility-impaired people. It is operated on the Kobe Line and Takarazuka Line.

While maintaining the traditional elegant and calm style of Hankyu Railway’s trains, we aimed to create a next-generation standard railcar that is highly functional and of high quality by incorporating customer needs and the latest technologies.
The front design with a greater swept-back angle than conventional models gives this model a sense of speed. To make the roof look neat, the train radio antenna is covered, and the air conditioning unit is also covered in the direction of the rails to give the railcar a sense of unity.

Special notes

Side window

The large window frames that look like single windows make the sides have an open feel and improve visibility from inside the railcar. The windows are double-glazed windows with an air gap between the two panes of glass, and the glass on the outside of the railcar is UV-blocking glass that blocks 92% of ultraviolet rays. This improves the insulation effect and creates a quiet and comfortable environment inside the railcar.

Indoor lighting

Semi-indirect lighting is used to ensure brightness while creating a calm atmosphere. In addition, a neat interior space is created by placing the poles for hand straps near the cool air outlets.

Air conditioning system

In addition to increasing the cooling capacity of the air conditioning system, it is also equipped with a dehumidification function and a rapid heating function. The air conditioning system is controlled by the fully automatic PMV (Thermal Comfort Rating Index) comfortable air conditioning control system, and the optimal air conditioning temperature is managed by a microcomputer according to conditions, such as weather data, indoor and outdoor temperatures, humidity, occupancy rate, and whether the doors are opened or closed to always maintain a comfortable environment inside the railcar.

Driver’s cab

It is a three-sided cockpit type with the monitor screen installed on the front left-hand side of the driver's desk, and the conventional switches are also placed in an easy-to-operate location.
A conventional T-shaped single handle is used for the main controller, and the ammeter, voltmeter, and pressure gauge have analog displays to simplify the circuitry.
