Train car introduction

2300 series

2300 series

The 2300 series is a Kyoto Line limited express train created on the basis of the concept of a new Hankyu style that is safe, comfortable, and eco-friendly and inherits the image of the Hankyu Railway trains that won the Good Design/Long Life Design Award in 2022 with its traditional maroon-colored body, wood-grain veneer, and golden olive-colored seats, while adopting curved glass for the front window as part of the design that gives a sense of speed.

In order to provide a comfortable travel space for all customers, we have expanded the wheelchair space in the front car, lowered the height of the handrails, changed the color of the straps to take into consideration color vision diversity, and otherwise enhanced our barrier-free facilities. In addition, we have adopted inverter air conditioners and air purifiers, which are excellent in energy-saving performance and noise reduction, for the first time in our company, and have installed security cameras and increased the number of grab bars to create a safer and more comfortable interior space. Furthermore, by adopting control devices that use the latest highly efficient semiconductor elements, we have reduced power consumption by approximately 60% compared to existing vehicles.

Wheelchair space

The wheelchair spaces near both driver’s cabs have been widened, and double handrails and emergency call devices have been installed at a height that makes them easy for a wide range of customers to use. Fixing brackets have also been installed to prevent wheelchairs from rolling around.

Security camera/front camera

We have installed security cameras inside the car and front cameras so that we can check the situation inside the cars and in front of the railcar from the driver's cab or control center in the event of trouble inside the car or an accident at a railroad crossing. This allows us to quickly grasp the situation and respond.
